British Freeride Junior Series – Glenshee
The sun and the snow delivered for the first of the British Freeride Junior Series held at Glenshee. Here is a look at how the weekend went, if you’re feeling inspired by the end check out the other events to come.
It was such a good weekend combining knowledge, tips and shredding ending in a two venue competition.
They absorbed it all up and gave us some very decent lines to entertain us. Europe you had better watch out!
The weekend was set up to deliver a heap of shredding time, with a continuous thread of insights into the world of freeride and the tactics for comps. The four coaches had a group each to inspire imaginations of line choice and all the possibilities on how to ride a face.
Saturday was the day for developing technique, talking tactics for Junior freeride competitions and enjoying the snow cover at Glenshee.
Sunday was the day to put it all into action. Two runs in two different venues. Inspections were had, line choice and planned runs discussed. Then the competition runs were executed and the scores were notched up.
Head coach said “the standard throughout the categories was really impressive, with the two runs combining for the total score it credited strong consistent riding. There were multiple stand out lines and with nearly all the riders putting down two clean runs it meant competition at the top was fierce!’.
Results will be posted up here soon and video is on its way.
